1967 Shelby GT350 & 1968 Shelby GT500 for sale

1967 GT500 for sale
1967 marked not only a change in the Mustang body style, but in the Shelby as well. Carroll Shelby took the already wider, longer 1967 Mustang and went even further; adding a fiberglass nose & hood, side scoops, rear trunk spoiler and wider tail lights. The resulting look was one of power and attitude that certainly fit the Shelby name.

And this "power" image was more than skin deep. The GT350 name was carried over from the 1965-1966 Shelbys, but Carroll also took advantage of the new wider engine bay to create the Shelby GT500 for sale; the first big block Shelby Mustang. The 1967 GT500 Shelby housed a 428 FE engine under it's hood cranking out 355 hp with the help of dual Holley four-barrels. In 1968 the legendary 428 Cobra Jet found it's way into the renamed Shelby GT500KR (or "King of the Road"). The 1968 models included another Shelby Mustang first; a choice of convertible or fastback. Prior Shelby's had been offered in fastback only.
