1965 - 1973 Classic Mustangs under $1,000

Finding a classic Mustang for sale under a grand can certainly be a challenge, but they are out there. We've sifted through thousands of classic Mustangs to find those still priced at under $1,000.

Let's face it, what you'll find for less then a grand is going to be a pretty serious project Mustang. But there are some true diamonds in the rough out there just waiting to be scooped up by someone who has the time and skills to restore them.

There are some great deals to be had if you're careful about what you buy. People buy classic Mustangs all the time with the intention of restoring them or turning them into a restomod. But so many of them soon realize that they're way over their head and so the Mustang just sits in their garage or yard. These can be great bargains when the owner finally admits that they won't be able to finish the project. Often they've spend thousands collecting new or replacement parts, but the car itself is undrivable because it sits in peices. These cars are hard to sell because most don't want a project of that magnitude. But if you're up for the challenge they can be amazing deals. The parts alone may be worth almost as much as the selling price.
