I have recently purchased a 1967 mustang fastback ski country special in Vail Blue i believe i am looking for information and pictures of these cars it has the emblem but over the years the ski rack is no longer with the car.

I have a 1967 Mustang fastback Ski Country Special,the color is Winter Park Turqoise. I also have the original Rotunda Ski Rack. I bought the car in 1994 I did not know that it was a SCS.

I just purchased a ski country special from California. It is now back in the Denver area and looks mostly original and unrestored. It has been repainted but looks like Aspen Red.

I just heard back from Bob. He has about 12-15 cars currently in the Ski Country Special Registry. They just don’t surface often. He also gave me a total production number of 198 which has been confirmed by Kevin Marti using Ford records. Of that 198 most are coupes. The fastbacks are extremely rare.

These cars are very rare today. With most being repainted it’s hard to say how many are still driving around as normal Mustangs waiting to be discovered.

There is a Registry for the Ski Country Special that Bob Teets runs. (He also runs the High Country Special Registry for 66-68 cars) Last I heard he didn’t have many cars registered. I’ll bug him and see if I can get updated info to post.
